Revive – Circuit contemporary worship gathering

Our mission statement

We are people from across the Circuit gathering to encourage each other in our faith and discipleship, to explore varied and contemporary worship, and to follow where God leads.

Some information about us

We meet for worship in various locations around the Circuit, two or three times each quarter. Our services are usually contemporary in style, and led by a variety of people. Music is provided by the Revive Band, with words projected onto the screen. Our gatherings always begin with refreshments; this may be simple tea and biscuits, coffee and cake, a barbeque, a buffet, or baking bread together – we just love to share food and drink!

What to expect

  • Revive is usually held on a Sunday evening; 5pm for refreshments, 6pm for worship (but this sometimes changes – look out for additional information).
  • We begin with refreshments and a chance to catch up with people from different congregations. This is also an opportunity to bring friends along, and to meet new people, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
  • Worship is led by various people, with music played by the band. The band consists of musicians and singers making a joyful noise to the Lord… we try our best, and enjoy exploring musical worship, with songs new and old.
  • Our gatherings vary from one occasion to the next - the evening might include a speaker or preacher, prayer and bible reading, chat and discussion, questions and answers, a short film, an activity (possibly a craft or a quiz or baking or a challenge of some sort).
  • The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with lots of smiles and laughter.
  • There is no pressure for anyone to do anything specific or to act in a certain way; you are welcome to take part as much as you like, or just to watch.
