FROGPOOL METHODIST CHURCH

Our Mission Statement

We are imperfect, ordinary people who seek to worship God, grow in our faith and share God’s love with others.

Some information about us

We meet for worship on Sundays in the chapel. Our Sunday Service is usually traditional in style and led by a Minister, Local Preacher or members of the Church. We share a monthly communion. We work closely with Carharrack Methodist Church. We don’t currently have a Sunday School or Junior Church group but warmly welcome children and young people.

We are engaged in various local community events, some of which are organised by us, some by others, and often work closely with Cusgarne Primary School.

We hold a monthly Coffee morning, twice-monthly ladies’ group, and monthly Beetle Drive with Cream Tea. We warmly welcome members of the community to these events.

The Church building dates from 1843 and is located in the centre of the village. It comprises a sanctuary with pipe organ and gallery, a mixture of chairs and pews, a large schoolroom, kitchen and toilets, and a small meeting room. Although there are a few steps to the front entrance, there is flat access into the chapel through the rear entrance and schoolroom, and all areas are flat and easily accessible except the gallery, which is accessed via stairs. Both the schoolroom and small meeting room are available for hire with the kitchen and toilet facilities.

We have a community courtyard at the rear of the building and welcome anyone to come and sit in this lovely area. This features ceramic wall art which was created by the congregation, community and Cusgarne School.

Please contact the Minister or Church Contact regarding weddings, funerals and baptisms or to hire part of the building.
