Women's World Day of Prayer which was held at Lanner on Friday 6th March. The following chapels took part; Carharrack, Carnkie, Lanner, Penmarth, St Day, Stithians, and also Christchurch Lanner. There were about 60 at the service, meeting in the chapel first for coffee. Following the service we went into the hall for a delicious soup and roll lunch, finished off with equally delicious homemade cakes.

What is the future of Methodism? That is a question posed by the fact of declining numbers as regards ministry and congregations. The Revd. Dr. Stephen Dawes will seek to answer that question from his perspective at the Annual Lecture of the Cornish Methodist Historical Association - at Truro Methodist Church, 7.30pm, Thursday October 17th. All welcome.
